Esther Hyun is a Program Officer of Strategy Integration and Execution on the Postsecondary Success team at the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation. Her role focuses on integrating, operationalizing, and managing complex strategic priorities in order to improve outcomes for low-income students and students of color. She currently leads program development that aims to improve the design and scaled delivery of student-centered services to higher-education institutions. As a former management consultant at McKinsey &amp; Company, Hyun gained experience across a range of industries including high tech, retail, energy, and banking. Prior to McKinsey, she was a 7th grade English Teacher in Richmond, California, and an alumna of Teach for America. In addition to her A.M. from Harvard University, Hyun holds a B.A. in Literature from Yale University.
