New publication "Manchukuo Perspectives" co-edited by Annika Culver, RSEA 2000

Annika Culver (AM 2000) has a new book Manchukuo Perspectives: Transnational Approaches to Literary Producion published in December 2019. Co-edited with Norman Smith, the volume contains "ground-breaking transnational work on literary views of Manchukuo by Chinese, Japanese, and Korean intellectuals during the period of Japanese occupation--with a preface by my former Chinese language classmate Karen Thornber," now Professor of Comparative Literature and East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Harvard.

Annika Culver is a tenured Associate Professor of East Asian History at the Florida State University, and a scholar in the US-Japan Network for the Future.
