Congratulations are also due to the RSEA students who helped plan and execute this year's very successful conference.

HEAS Co-chairs Da In Choi, Xiao You Mok, and Terasa Younker shared this letter of acknowledgement:

To all those who contributed to HEAS 2018: Thank you for making this year’s conference a resounding success!

We are indebted to the many participants who came from all around to contribute to this vibrant and illuminating event. We owe a special thanks to our keynote speakers, Dr. Karen Thornber and Dr. John Park, and to Dr. James Robson for his outstanding opening and closing remarks, especially on such short notice!

We owe much gratitude to our sponsors, the Korea Institute, Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies, the Asia Center, and the Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies for their generous support. The RSEA Program administrators, Rosie Cortese and Harriet Wong are especially thanked for their enormous and high-quality support.

This event would not have been possible without the help and support of every single G1 in the Regional Studies - East Asia MA Program. We would like to especially thank our indefatigable secretaries Ben Jacobs and Mel Sanborn, scrupulous treasurer Qieer Zhang, adept PR coordinators Yingxue Wang,  tireless website manager Menglan Chen, diligent grant writers Narusa Yamato, Fan Hong, and Erin Trumble, meticulous scheduler and AV guy specialist Bryan Lim, capable catering coordinators Jie Sun, Amy Zhang, and Zi Bing Pung. And many thanks to Tao Lin, Joa Alexander, Nora Chen, Nam Hoang, Fan Hong, Eyck Freymann for dedicating their time to helping during the conference.

We hope all of you had as enriching an experience as we did. We hope to see everyone again next year!

Warmly,
HEAS Co-Chairs
