RSEA student Edward Zhi En Tan named Schwarzman Scholar

RSEA student Edward Zhi En Tan has been awarded a prestigious Schwarzman scholarship, which funds a master’s in global affairs at Beijing’s Tsinghua University. Edward will join the Schwarzman Scholars Class of 2024. Congratulations, Edward!

While pursuing his AM in Regional Studies - East Asia, Edward is focusing on China’s norm entrepreneurship in international organizations. He received his BA (Hons) in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania. In his former roles as an editor at the Harvard Kennedy School Singapore Policy Journal and a Perry World House Student Fellow, he examined the institutional dynamics of policymaking in areas such as data governance, internet governance, and standard setting. As a Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) scholar, Edward will serve as a public service officer in the CAAS Air Transport Division. Edward is from Singapore.
