Julie Sheetz
Julie Sheetz is the Director for Space Strategy and Analysis within the office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Space and Missile Defense Policy. In this role, she oversees the development and implementation of policies and guidance for the Department of War to keep pace with evolving dynamics in the space domain and meet the challenge posed by our competitors, including implementing Presidential Executive Orders on Ensuring American Space Superiority and Golden Dome for America. Ms. Sheetz previously served as Chief of Staff for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs, as the lead Global Force Planner for the Indo-Pacific region, as an Asia advisor to the Chief of Naval Operations, and as a defense budgeting advisor on the Senate Defense Appropriations Committee, at the International Security Assistance Force headquarters in Kabul, and in the department’s Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation office. Before joining the Department of War, Ms. Sheetz was an Associate Director at BrooksBowerAsia (BBA), a boutique consulting and advisory services firm facilitating U.S. investment in Southeast Asia. Ms. Sheetz holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and French Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree in Regional Studies East Asia from Harvard University.
